Fighting Loneliness: Sharon's Legacy
Sharon Flugaur made it her legacy to fight loneliness for the people she served and cared for. She knew how important it was for everyone to have friends, and she worked tirelessly to make that happen.
Today, we are pleased to share a special opportunity that honors Sharon’s legacy, carries her work forward, and helps us create a space where everyone belongs and friendships flourish.
Sharon Flugaur Gathering Room
At the heart of the Door2Dreams village will be a Gathering Lodge – a place for connection, celebration, and support. We plan to name the main room within the Lodge the Sharon Flugaur Gathering Room in memory of this special woman who made such a difference in our community.
Our goal is to raise a total of $200,000 to name the Sharon Flugaur Gathering Room. Sharon’s husband Tom has already committed $50,000 toward this effort.
